Company Security Officer (CSO) & Ship Security Officer (SSO) Training
About
Tactical Defense Concepts (TDC) provides this mandatory training for your company. You will learn to understand the requirements for a ship assessment; Initiate, direct and evaluate the ship security plan; Manage and monitor the ship security procedures and systems; Ensure that the proper training and evaluation is carried out for all personnel involved in security matters; Implement and maintain the ship security plan; and Train, direct and motivate ship personnel involved in security. The training involves one-on-one dialogue.
Course Outline
- Terrorism Overview.
- ISPS, SOLAS and MTSA regulations.
- Ship Security Assessments & Plan.
- Methods to detect and counter PIRACY, STOWAWAYS, DRUG SMUGGLING, PILFERAGE and the new threats of TERRORISM and SABOTAGE.
- Briefing on Bombs, Weapons and Terrorist devices.
- Threat Analysis, Physical Security and Defense in Depth.
- Table Top Excercises and Outline for conducting your own Drills and Exercises.
Instructors
All instructors conducting each course are master mariners having served on all types of vessels including: tankers, container ships, roll-on roll-off, research, and passenger vessels. They are currently active Merchant Mariners, licensed USCG and USN instructors with experience in vessel security assessments, vessel security plans, anti piracy, anti terrorism, shipboard defense tactics and explosive ordinance disposal.
